ULM announces donation of Lumen’s local campus to the University of Louisiana Monroe. The building is to be named the Clarke M. Williams Innovation Campus.

The University of Louisiana-Monroe's School of Pharmacy joined the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center and the Southern University Agricultural Center as one of three schools in the state that are now legally allowed to conduct research on marijuana and hemp.

"A proposal in the Louisiana Legislature seeks to clear prescription drugs for uses that federal authorities have not approved. But an amendment to the measure gives state officials the right to step in if any such prescription stands to harm the public."

A number of area legislators were recognized as ‘valuable policymakers’ in the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s 2020 Legislative Scorecard last week.

“Louisiana’s economy is closely tied to the oil and gas industry, so I am pleased to announce that the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association’s Political Action Committee has chosen to endorse my candidacy for State Representative, District 14.”
